The use of speakers in the normal auscultation sites for pediatric assessment enables the use of any stethoscope without incurring additional cost for special equipment. The unit controls reside in the special handheld remote. Using an optional external speaker jack supports broadcasting the sounds during classroom introduction to lung and heart sounds, or it can be used for audible testing for several student at once. Individual manikin speakers in specific locations allow students to hear precise sound anomalies encountered when they auscultate the manikin. Lung Sounds Include: Asthma, Bronchial, Coarse crackles, Fine crackles, Normal breath sounds, Pneumonia, lobar, Tracheal, Wheeze, Insp. crackles and early Stridor. Heart Sounds Include: Atrial septal defect, Congenital aortic stenosis, Normal pediatric heart sounds, Patent ductus arteriosus, Pulmonary valvular stenosis, Ventricular septal defect and S4.11. Voice Sounds Include: Cough, Crying, Gasp, Gurgling, Sneeze and Wheeze.
